There are several colleges, universities, and tech schools in Miami and the surrounding area. The College of Business and Technology offers an associate degree in business administration, and has two Miami campuses. Barry University's MBA program offers flexible scheduling, including evenings, Saturdays, and also as a 5-year BS to MBA program. The University of Miami School of Business offers several undergraduate and graduate programs. One unique goal of the school is to build bridges between the South Florida and South American business communities.
Several major businesses have offices or their headquarters in Miami, including Carnival, IVAX Corporation, Equity One, Vector Group, and Spanish Broadcasting System. Miami-Dade and Monroe counties are looking to add about 700 jobs per year in the financial activities sector from 2002-12. The administrative and support services sector is to see an increase of about 1,914 jobs/year in that period. The trade, transportation and utilities sector is to add about 2,335 jobs per year.
